“It all begins with an idea. May be you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

Make an Impact in your community

The Greater Taylor Foundation was founded in 2022 on the belief that by pooling our resources and giving within the community, we can do more to preserve the quality of life we enjoy today for future generations.

Taylor is a special community – filled with culture, tradition, and a Texas-size spirit of giving. People who love the Taylor area love giving back! As the trusted leader for philanthropy in this area, we provide simple ways for donors and businesses to achieve their long-term charitable goals.

Taylor.  Together.

The Greater Taylor Foundation is a local nonprofit dedicated to strengthening our community by supporting the people and organizations who call Taylor home. We bring neighbors together to volunteer, give back, and invest in the future of our city.

Whether you’re looking to lend a hand, support a local cause, or learn how to get involved, we make it easy to take part in the work that helps Taylor grow stronger—together.

Taylor is a close-knit Central Texas community where historic brick storefronts and wide Texas skies still set the tone. Founded in the late 1800s as a railroad town, Taylor grew quickly as cotton became king, with gins, warehouses, and rail lines shaping both its economy and identity. Agriculture laid the foundation, but the city evolved with the times—supporting small manufacturing, local businesses, and a strong independent spirit that still defines it. You can feel that history walking through downtown: preserved architecture, long-standing family businesses, and neighbors who actually know each other by name.

Today, Taylor balances its rural roots with forward momentum. The surrounding farmland and neighboring communities reflect a region grounded in hard work—ranching, farming, and trades—while newer industry and regional growth bring opportunity and change. Community events, school pride, faith communities, and local nonprofits knit people together in a way that feels intentional rather than accidental. It’s the kind of place where tradition matters, growth is welcomed (carefully), and people still believe that if something needs fixing, you roll up your sleeves and do it yourself.

Upcoming Events:
